BOTOX® F.A.Q.What Do You Know About BOTOX® Cream? There are many advertisements claiming to offer “BOTOX® Cream”. This is simply false and misleading advertising as BOTOX® Cosmetic is not a cream and is not available as a cream. BOTOX® is only available as an injectable liquid. In fact, or order to produce its optimum clinical effects of smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, BOTOX® injections must be placed in the underlying musculature of the face and not applied on the surface of the face or topically. Topical creams for wrinkles or crow’s feet, or other creams for fine lines and wrinkles may offer some temporary “hydration” or tightening” effect on the superficial facial skin, but in no way do they relax the muscular contraction that causes wrinkles. In fact, they may provide some mild cosmetic smoothing of the skin, which may be beneficial but is not a replacement for BOTOX® treatments for those wishing to minimize or eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.
