BOTOX® Treatment: Neck

The use of BOTOX® Cosmetic in the neck area is becoming more popular for solving two types of appearance problems that plague people as they age. First, as people enter the 40’s or 50’s it is not uncommon for women to have what appears to be a “permanent ring around the collar”. This, as well as the “chin to chest bands’ that form in the neck area, are quite successfully softened with the use of BOTOX® Injections in the neck.
When BOTOX® is injected into the platysma muscle and bands of the neck, it causes them to relax, thus improving horizontal lines, and vertical neck cords that develop over time. This effect can simulate a neck lift in those individuals who do not have a lot of excess neck skin and gives a more youthful appearance.
